Can i bring dslr to olympics
Agree, the mirrorless aren't there yet. Sony a9's will definitely be on full display there. Photo Comments.
Why so serious? Mirrorless cameras are not quite ready to handle sports. Wouldn't be reasonable to think mirrorless can be…. Light is free… capturing it is not! Top Poster. Not true, The Sony a9 is very capable of handling high speed sports. I do agree that others don't exactly have a good position, possible the Z7 from Nikon, but nothing else jumps out yet.
Piechura Newbie. How many of them actually have the native lenses to shoot sports? I think Sony are the only ones to have mm f4 and are about to bring out a mm f2. For Nikon and Canon, you'd have to adapt. Depends on what the manufacturers provide, like in the latest olympics I don't think Mirrorless cameras are going to be used in the Olympics. They might take some time to come. Brands are working on them.
It is going to be interesting to see Mirrorless cameras in sports. Not yet, you'll likely have a few. But will be the year for mirrorless stronghold at Olympics. Most likely all Pentax cameras will be used Seriously, what happened to Pentax, are they not trying.
Seems like you keep hearing less and less of them. I had to reduce my FPS to something like 3, since I was getting way too many duplicates -- all sharp, in focus etc. Obviously this is an isolated episode by someone me who does not have much clue about the world of professional sport photography. I guess the question is not much about the capability of the gear for which I'd argue Sony mirrorless is by far superior but the whole ecosystem and supply chain that no mirrorless vendor has at the moment.
Last Edit: 2 years 1 month ago by ebyelyakov. By your own admission, you are inexperienced. Do you not see a problem here? Once everything is take apart, double check that all the cases, lens caps, covers, and straps are snug. Then secure any loose items like batteries, SD cards, lenses, and all the bric-a-brac that comes along with mobile photography.
It keeps loose items from rattling around and scratching up your expensive lenses. It sounds obvious, but you should be able to give your carry on bag, or camera bag a shake and open it up without noticing any movement in your packed camera gear. Be obsessive about this. You know those little silica gel packs that were in the box when you opened your camera?
So why would you throw them out? Essentially, ND filters give you a whole new tool kit to explore without adding any heavy gear to your travel photography bag. They let light in slowly so you can keep the aperture nice and wide without blowing out your photos and video. It takes some getting used to, but a decent stop variable stop ND filter can be a next level piece of travel camera gear.
Just experiment with it. Do you really need a flash? And a filter? And a spare, spare, spare battery? And a backup strap? And three different ND filters? Strip your travel camera gear down to the essentials that you need for this trip. Every lens you bring is another expensive, fragile liability.
